In Senegal, many children are caught in a vicious cycle of begging and abuse. Children as young as five are sent to the city to learn the Koran. In return for this education, the master forces the Talibes (child disciples) to beg on the street for up to 10 hours a day. If they do not return to their master with enough money, they are severely punished.
The Bible Society in Senegal is working to end this cycle. Join with us in praying that the Talibes will be encouraged to return home.
You can support this project and many others through our Bible-a-month Partnership.
We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.
