Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Psalm 100: 1 (NRSV)

In 2011, a Bible was presented to Stirling Castle to mark the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. Since then, so many people have looked through the ‘visitor’ Bible that it has become rather worn down – hallelujah!

On Sunday 12th May 2013, a new Bible will be presented to Stirling Castle by members of our local action group. The event is open to all and you can drop in at any time throughout the afternoon to enjoy the celebrations.

Choir members from churches in the Stirling area will be leading visitors and guests in singing hymns throughout the afternoon. Kathleen McKellar Ferguson will be the MC and the Earl of Mar will be speaking also.

The event takes place in the glorious surroundings of the Chapel Royal, which was built by James VI in 1594 for the baptism of his son Prince Henry. Admission fees to enter Stirling Castle apply but why not make it a day out as well as supporting the Bible in Stirling!

Come and enjoy a great day out and support the witness of the Bible in Stirling.
