2013 marks 200 years since the birth of the Scottish explorer Dr David Livingstone, one of Scotland’s best-known explorers and Christian missionaries. His work in Malawi still has a lasting impact today.
Today, Malawians face challenges very different from those of David Livingstone’s time. Over 2 million are food insecure and face hunger on a daily basis.
As part of the Scotland-Malawi Partnership’s ‘Livingstone Living Legacy‘ event, attended by Malawian President Joyce Banda, a short-video was produced to explain more about the challenge of food insecurity and how these challenges can be overcome.
