THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all the volunteers who walked and cycled around the Kyle of Tongue in Sutherland, this September. The event raised more than £660, which will help the Bible Society in Nicaragua to share the Bible with many children who are battling cancer,  helping them find comfort as they read God’s Word.

At La Mascota Hospital, in Managua, the Bible Society provides Bibles and also co-ordinates a team of 235 volunteers who are able to spend time with the children, and to offer emotional support for the parents and the medical staff.

As this is the only hospital in Nicaragua where children can be treated for cancer, families often struggle to travel long distances to the hospital for treatment. The Bible Society helps poorer families to afford the costs of travelling to and from the hospital and also helps with overnight stays, so that the children can continue with their treatment.
