Seen and Heard event

The Scottish Bible Society is a partner at the ‘Seen and Heard’ event to support everyone working in children’s ministry across Scotland.  Gemma Stoddart, Children’s Director at St. Paul’s & St. George’s Church in Edinburgh shares more about the Seen and Heard Conference.

In two weeks, people will gather in Edinburgh for the Seen and Heard conference. Seen and Heard is a network to encourage and equip those who work in children’s ministry.

The conference is for anyone working with children. From those leading a Sunday school, to running an after school club or those working in schools – there will be something for everyone.

Seen and Heard will take place on Saturday 24th September 2016.  The day will be in St Paul’s and St George’s Church and will run from 9.30am until 4.30pm. There will be a mixture of main sessions and workshops, with plenty of time to explore the exhibition space and meet other people who are involved in similar work.

Our key note speaker will be Rachel Turner, the Parenting for Faith Pioneer at Bible Reading Fellowship. She will talk about how children’s ministry is crucial to building God’s kingdom. We will also have two experts discussing what life is like for children today, as well as eight workshops from which to choose from. The workshops will be jam packed with ideas and lots of time to ask questions and get ideas for your children’s ministry.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite, and group discounts are available on request.

Seen and Heard is shaping up to be a great day of encouragement and equipping. We look forward to seeing you there.
