They speak of our past, they describe where we have come from and shape who we will become.
The Bible is the story of God’s relationship with humankind, and we have a responsibility to pass on this story, so others can become part of the story too.
Jesus spent a lot of time telling stories.
Stories that connected with the people who were listening.
Stories about everyday things that they could relate to: messed up families, missing things, dangerous journeys, parties, servants, and farmers sowing their crops.
In these stories, which are deeply rooted in earthbound experiences, Jesus revealed spiritual things about God’s character and kingdom values, which often turned the religious expectations and perceptions of the day upside down.
Two free resources
It is brilliant that we have these stories in the Bible to share with children and all ages together, and we are delighted to provide you with two more PowerPoint presentations to help you do that.
“The Story of Two Sons” and “The Good Samaritan” have been taken from our Bibleworld Books and provide stunning images as you share the stories together with large or small groups.
In the “Story of Two Sons” we discover a generous loving Father, and in “The Good Samaritan” that love is shown to be universal.
We hope you enjoy using these as the summer begins to fade bringing with it many more opportunities to explore the Bible together.
