After the Iranian revolution, life for Christians in Iran became increasingly difficult.

The enforced closure of the Iranian Bible Society in November 1990 was another tragedy for the Iranian Christian community. This and other restrictions on Christian communities caused the migration of Iranians from Iran to all around the world, leading to a significant diaspora in the world today. With this growth of scattered Iranian Christian refugees, it is the aim of the Bible Society to serve these voiceless, oppressed, and mostly forgotten Christians with the Word of God.
