Trauma is a deep wound of the heart and mind that takes a long time to heal.
It hurts every part of us: our relationships, our bodies, our thoughts and our faith. It has been more than a year since the pandemic began to weigh upon relationships, livelihoods and communities. At a time when grief and trauma have significantly increased, Trauma Healing ministries around the world have worked hard to reach those who are suffering.
All over the world in over 160 languages an incredible 16,349 facilitators are trained to take this resource out into their communities and over 130,000 people have participated in a healing group. Many of these have taken place in the last fifteen months.
One pastor from Burkina Faso says, ‘We were ministering to people, but something was missing from our ministry. That thing has been brought through Trauma Healing training. I discovered I had been giving everything for the ministry but had neglected myself and my family. I thank God for our dedicated facilitators and all who work for this training to happen.’
Here in Scotland we have run 5 courses online since the pandemic started and many of our healing groups have continued online with around 40 small groups happening over the last year.
Our next Initial Training Course in Bible-based Trauma Healing here in Scotland will be held from 6th – 10th September 2021 online via zoom. If you are interested in taking part in this please email Pearl Liddle at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone on 07542 225748.
