A Bible story of Migration

All ages of people are leaving their homeland and moving towards an unknown future. Babies being carried, toddlers attempting brief moments of independence, some needing the support of a stick to aid their journey, many carrying heavy loads.

This is a scene which has become too common around the world today. Displaced people risking all to find a new life, and often travelling simply to survive. However, the scene being described above is found in our new publication Joseph and the Triumph of Grace, as Jason Ramasami illustrates Jacob’s family heading down to Egypt fleeing a famine and about to be reunited with Joseph. This is a story of a family struggling with jealousy, anger and violence but who also discover love, forgiveness and redemption through God’s grace. An ancient story, but a story with so much connection to our world today.

Wonderfully illustrated by Jason Ramasami, Joseph and the Triumph of Grace narrates the story of Joseph through graphic novel-style images.

Joseph and the Triumph of Grace is a book of two halves designed for young people aged 10 to 14 years, but accessible for all. The first half of the book is a fully illustrated version of the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis and the second half contains the whole text of Genesis from the New International Readers Version of the Bible, designed to make reading easier! There are also two cover timelines of the Bible which place the story of Joseph in the context of the whole Biblical narrative.

  • The cover art for Joseph and the Triumph of Grace.
  • The artwork inside Joseph and the Triumph of Grace is reminiscent of comic book illustrations.

When you buy a copy of the book you will also receive a free Joseph’s Journal. This booklet helps young people explore the story of Joseph, to understand that God is with us even in times of great change and encourages readers to reflect on their own story with God.

Do you know someone who would like to receive this book and to have the chance to meet with this God who Jacob described as:

“…the God who has been my shepherd all my life, right up to this day. He is the angel who has saved me from all harm.”

Genesis 48:15-16
