A Bible story of Migration
All ages of people are leaving their homeland and moving towards an unknown future. Babies being carried, toddlers attempting brief moments of independence, some needing the support of a stick to aid their journey, many carrying heavy loads.
This is a scene which has become too common around the world today. Displaced people risking all to find a new life, and often travelling simply to survive. However, the scene being described above is found in our new publication Joseph and the Triumph of Grace, as Jason Ramasami illustrates Jacob’s family heading down to Egypt fleeing a famine and about to be reunited with Joseph. This is a story of a family struggling with jealousy, anger and violence but who also discover love, forgiveness and redemption through God’s grace. An ancient story, but a story with so much connection to our world today.
