Give the gift of God's Word

With a little black box that costs just £35, a church full of people in Mozambique can hear the Word of God in their own language

This is a Proclaimer Audio Bible. It has impacted many people and helped them live a transformed Christian life.

The illiteracy rate in rural Mozambique is as high as 60%. A little black box like this is needed so that churches, and even whole villages, can sit around the Proclaimer and hear God’s Word read to them in their own heart language. And because it’s solar powered, and can also be wound up, it can be transported and used easily.

Will you provide a Proclaimer Audio Bible for people desperate to hear God’s Word in their own language?

‘The Proclaimer and the ‘Faith Comes by Hearing’ programme is being a blessing to me, because after participating in this programme for over a month I am much transformed.

I could not witness, but now I am not afraid anymore. I pray with my whole family, and I invite those who are not yet part of any listening group to come and listen and receive this blessing from God’.

SIMONE FERNAND, The Church of Cordeiro de Deus

The impact of the Proclaimer as part of the ‘Faith Comes by Hearing’ project has been immense.

‘FCBH brought the church together and helped the spiritual revival Mozambique needs. Please keep on, for you are healing this country’, said Rev Anibal Peleve, Congregational Church in Inhambane.

With Covid restrictions slowly lifting and allowing the reopening of many of the churches, this programme is of great importance for evangelism.

Many people who profess other faiths in Africa often won’t accept a printed Bible. The only way to reach out to that audience is through audio Scriptures. A Proclaimer puts the Word of God into their hands in their heart language and the result is lives transformed.

The Bible Society in Mozambique have a team of colporteurs. They play a very important role as they go from church to church, and village to village to instruct pastors and volunteers about the use of the Proclaimer and how to set up and support the listening groups.

Through these colporteurs many people have benefited from the programme, with 490 people converted to Christ in the third quarter of last year alone.

Your gift today can support colporteurs in this Kingdom-building work.

I want to Give

‘Before we received this material, the church was adrift and had no direction, and this contributed to the spread of other faiths. This programme came to fortify the church and transformed it to fulfil its mission to evangelise the world. I used to be afraid to speak of Christ to others, but now I use the Proclaimer and it proclaims the Word of God without any barriers. I thank God for this programme.’

JOSÉ SALIMO,  Jesus is the Saviour Church

‘I thank God for the Proclaimer and the FCBH programme because it changed my life. I didn’t care about Bible reading. But from the day I joined the listening group, I changed. Now I am fully engaged with the Bible and my spiritual life.

In quarantine when the Proclaimer came to my house, I felt at one with God’s blessing. The FCBH programme turned me into a person of God. My whole family now meditate every day on the Word of God’.

ALBERTINA MANUEL JOÃO,  Crista da Aliança Divina Church

The Proclaimer has been a blessing to many.

Help us reach people who are desperate to hear God’s Word by providing them with the right kind of Bible – so that everyone can hear.
